Meet Byron,
When it comes to creating great jewelry, curating unique pieces and living local, Byron knows best. Prior to opening Sophia’s in 2014 in Fenwick Island, Delaware, Byron amassed 25 years in the jewelry business; honing his skills under his mentor and current partner John Kokkinos.
A jewelry expert and customer favorite by day, in the evenings you can catch Byron performing with his band the Chest Pains, a rock/alternative cover band, in Ocean City, MD and surrounding areas.
When you stop by the shop, be sure to say hello! You can find Byron there almost every day the shop is open, ready to answer any questions and help you find your new favorite piece.
Meet John,
Owner and Master Bench Jeweler, John Kokkinos, has an extensive background in jewelry making and repair. Additionally, he has been instrumental as both an advisor and partner, to Byron and Sophia’s Fine Jewelry.
He is a Jewelers of America (J.A.) “Certified Master Bench Jeweler,” the highest level of recognition in his profession. John received this honor in April of 2005, and is the only jeweler in Maryland with this distinction, and one of approximately 200 nationwide.
